Guilty pleasure

Not going to lie, have a very satisfied feeling of terrible guilt at the moment.

Short on money as I am at the moment, I decided to treat myself to dinner from Marks & Spencer. When I say decided to treat myself I mean I was driving my friend Joe back from the PC repair shop and needed to get something for dinner; being the lazy get that I am I couldn’t be bothered to drive anywhere so pulled in at the M&S at the BP garage.

£23.76 later, my dinner had turned into:

• 4 bottles of bud born on 6th Apr 11

• 4 pints of milk not, obviously, to drink with the Bud => bad idea

• 80 luxury gold teabags the cheapest in M&S but still luxury for some reason; for the milk

• 1 cod monray with potato and fresh beans what i actually came in for

• 6 potato croquettes the second item i picked up => where it all went wrong

• 1 chocolate sundae it wouldn’t be dinner without a pudding :-/

• 1 profiterole dessert suck out! 2for1 SAVING

• 1 blueberry oat cookies pack to share so i don’t look fat with everything else (i’ll still eat most muhaha)

• 1 indulgence choc chip cookies pack 2 packs make me look generous but really just give me another flavour to munch

• 12.5g of amber leaf tobacco (..)

So I may have gotten a little carried away I don’t know.

But what I do bloody object to is this on my receipt:

• 2 STD VEST BAG   0.05   0.10   D

I had no idea what it was when I first looked at it and was desperately trying to rack my brains to think what I’d picked up accidentally that costs 5p per item.. it was only when I really looked it at it that it dawned on me that the cheeky gets had charged me for each of the carrier bags! So obvious now I read the word bag as what it actually is but at the time I thought it was a contraction of a longer word; it never occured to be that the blighters would do that.

I like Co-Op better.
